Hewitt named Special Prosecutor to investigate Senate GOP surrender

Pusan, Korea (November 17, 2005) – In an unexpected development, President Bush named Hugh Hewitt, a constitutional law professor at Chapman University, California, as the Special Prosecutor to conduct an emergency investigation into the “Senate GOP surrender” early this week. As reported previously, Republican Senators unconditionally capitulated to the Democrats and voted for a wobbly resolution, which clearly rebuked President Bush war policy and in effect undermined the resolve of the American Armed Forces in the Iraq Theater. “I would rather have 55 Harry Reids in font of me than Frist, McConnell and Warner behind me,” President Bush said at a press conference in Pusan, where he is attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation APEC forum this week. Swift reactions from the Democrats came from Senator John Kerry who offered the Senate Republican Leadership his full and prompt support to fight back the Hewitt investigation. The senator announced that he would immediately fly in at his expenses a team of French lawyers with historical expertise in “International Surrender Law” to set up the legal defense for the Senate Republicans.
