CBS News releases Katrina - Al Qaeda videotape
New York (September 5, 2005) - CBS News has broadcasted exclusive videotape this evening, linking Katrina directly to Al Qaeda. The videotape, first mentioned on Al-Jazeera website, featured a female Islamic insurgent named Katrina, saying she was going to suicide-bomb herself and "turn her soul into the deadly hurricane" that attacked the US this week. In the videotape, she said the "Bush evil empire" was responsible for the atrocities perpetuated not only against all human beings in the world but also against numerous "crawfish species" found in the Mississippi delta. It was recorded on the same video as a message from Al-Zawahri, the top terrorist in Iraq. A high level White House official questioned the veracity of the tape, but CBS News insisted that its Legal Division had proof-checked and approved the accuracy of the tape.
