Al Gore seeks political asylum in Sweden

Stockholm (October 14, 2005) – The Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson just confirmed that Mr. Al Gore, former Vice President of the United Stated had filed for political asylum in Sweden on Wednesday this week. In a press release to the European press today, Mr. Gore explained his reasons for this sensational step. Since the 2000 election, he has constantly feared for his life because the Bush administration has “routinely tortured people” and “taken money from the working families and given it to the most wealthy families,” Mr. Gore wrote in the application form. He declined to answer questions whether he would give up various lucrative posts in America like Chairman of Generation Investment Company, Board Director of Apple Computers and President of the American TV Channel Current.
