Paris (November 7, 2005) – Sources inside the famous French General Directorate for External Security DGSE revealed that the top terrorist in Iraq Al-Zarqawi has been sighted in Paris on Sunday. The DGSE is responsible for military intelligence as well as for strategic information, electronic intelligence, and it is also responsible for the counterespionage outside the borders of the national territory. Mr. Pierre Brochand, the General Director of this intelligence agency since 2002, declined to comment on this report. Contrary to reports by Western mainstream media, Mr. Zarqawi’s terror organization , has been under severe pressure on the Iraq front for the last few months. The successful constitutional referendum on October 15 and the current heavy military campaign in Western Iraq, Operation Steel Curtain, appeared to diminish and limit the popular support for Mr. Zarqawi’s oraganization. The current violent riot wave by French Muslim immigrants could give Mr. Zarqawi an opportunity to seize the protest movement and use it open a second front in Western Europe.
