Muslim racial riots in France masked by world media

Paris (November 4, 2005) – For eight consecutive days, French Muslim youths have instigated and spread violent riots to more than 20 towns in the Paris region. More than 300 cars and several public buildings were set on fire. The violence, which was triggered by the death of two North-African French teenagers, allegedly electrocuted during the course of a police pursuit, was led by the Muslim North-African population, the largest immigrant community in France. The Muslim protesters, immigrants and French-born, rioted “against police harassment, discrimination in housing and job opportunities” rooted in the French immigration policy. The riots showed no sign of slowing down and have plunged the French government into a severe national crisis. But you would know nothing about the Islamic Muslim racial angle of this crisis, if you got the news from the mainstream media like CNN, MSNBC, BBC News, Le Monde or even Al-Jazeera. Spokespersons for CNN and MSNBC in the US have rejected allegation that the mainstream news media just wanted to protect the harmonic image between France and the Islamic world.
