Dream of Iraq from Cuba, Vietnam and China

Baghdad (December 15, 2005) – Today is the day in Iraq. The Iraqi people have finally elected a democratic parliament and subsequently a democratic government. For us Americans, we take free election for granted, but for 27 millions of Iraqis, today’s election marks the beginning of the long journey towards democracy, liberty, sovereignty and self-governing that many Iraqis have lived and died for.
Let’s put it in perspective, 12 millions Cubans, 84 millions Vietnamese and 1.3 billions Chinese would love to be in the position where Iraq is today.
