Will Dean be the first to be “strategically redeployed”?

Washington DC (December 12, 2005) – The “White Flag”video commercial that the RNC put out last week seemed to hit the Democrats squarely in the heart. The ad, composed solely of original video clips from three leading Democrats, DNC Chair Howard Dean, Senator Boxer and Senator Kerry, described in simplest terms the Democrat “positions” on Iraq: (1) The US can’t win, (2) The US Armed Forces should pull-out immediately and be “strategically redeployed” to periphery like –of all places - Okinawa. These bizarre positions, which not only begin to move the American public back into President Bush’s territory, but have also created noticeable fractures among the Democratic rank and file. Fearing voters backlash in the upcoming 2006 election, more voices inside the Democratic Party were heard demanding DNC Chairman Howard Dean to “shut-up” or just go away. If this internal turmoil continues, Mr. Dean could be the first American Democrat to be “strategically redeployed” maybe not to Okinawa, but back to Vermont.
