Cindy Sheehan transferred from DC jail to Guantanamo
Guantanamo (September 26, 2005) – Secretary of Justice Alberto Gonzales announced late this evening that Cindy Sheehan will be transferred from the main DC city jail to Guantanamo terrorist prison camp on Cuba later tonight. This action was based on an “explicit and completely voluntary request from Mrs. Sheehan,” said the Secretary. Mrs. Sheehan wanted to be “together with my comrades-in-arms, illegally hold in Gitmo.” In response to questions from reporters, Mrs. Sheehan also said that she “would not survive a day in the racist jail system in DC” and, on the personal level, “can no longer stand the constant drumbeat of dreary, miserable weather associated with Katrina and Rita.” It was about time “for me to enjoy some sunshine in the land of my spiritual friend and leader Fidel,” and to enjoy the good and well-known Guantanamo cuisine “even if it is provided by the American occupation army,” said Mrs. Sheehan.
