Clinton accuses Bush of diverting Rita to help Republican state Texas

Houston (September 24, 2005) – Deeply disappointed that the Texan metropolis Houston dodged the Rita bullet this morning, while the Democrats-controlled New-Orleans was heavily damaged by Katrina, Senator Hillary Clinton today accused President Bush of using a top-secret Pentagon technology, code-named “PlasmaWind” to weaken and divert the Rita hurricane away from major Texan population centers. “Bush wants to preserve his Republican voters in Texas” but “clearly intended to decimate Democratic voters in Louisiana,” the Senator said. Together with Senator Clinton, the New York Times, CNN and MSNBC had joined in a lawsuit, demanding “the immediate release of PlasmaWind technology” that the Pentagon had developed since early 2005. They wanted to “expose Bush’s administration abuse of national assets for partisan purpose at the cost of the poor and non-privilege” in the Gulf Coast region.
