Donald Trump taking over FEMA

New York (September 18, 2005) – A senior White House official disclosed today that Donald Trump, the real-estate billionaire, was in negotiation with the Bush administration to take over the embattled FEMA organization. He would not only serve “pro bono” but also put 100 billions of his own money into the Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts. However, the final sticking point remained that Mr. Trump insisted on the naming right for all Katrina operations. President Bush apparently already agreed to some major concessions, like the Trump Superdome, the Trump French Quarter and the Trump Mardi Gras Parade. But he balked at Mr. Trump’s demands to rename the Lake Pontchartrain to The Trump Marina and the Mississippi Delta to Trump Golden Rivera.
