Senate Democrats agree to the Katrina commission
Washington DC (September 9, 2005) - In a surprise development late Friday, Senator Harry Reid, D-Nevada, announced that the Senate Democrats have finally agreed to the formation of the Katrina commission. The Chairman of this commission will be Mr. Fat Domino, a distinguished voice and instrument activist from New Orleans. He will be assisted by three vice-chairs: Brown, Blanco and Nagin. As Senator Reid did not immediately provide biographical information on the vice-chairs, it remained uncertain at this time whether they were related in any shape or form to the FEMA director, the Louisiana governor or the New Orleans mayor.
